The second Penelope was outside Aaron's room, the door closed, she leaned against the wall and closed her eyes. She was not going to cry.

She sent a text to two people: I'm coming back to the room. Tequila, please.

Then she went to a bathroom to splash her face with water and try to pull herself together for a bit before stomping into the room.

"I need a drink," she announced.

After leaving Aaron's room, Penelope went back to her own. When she walked in Klaus was no longer to be seen, but Ivy was sitting on her bed.

"Hi," said Penelope, and threw herself onto her own bed.

"Knock knock, I'm home!" said Penelope when she walked back into their room. "Oh, Ivy!" Penelope grinned at her. "Is Klaus out? He helped me out earlier, touched up my nails..."

Penelope kind of thought she was being punked. Was this a thing, sending the smoking hot criminal after the frumpy ex-FBI girl? Like, as she and Ivy walked out into the cool London air and she took in again just how insanely perfect her legs and her ass were...

Okay, no. She would not be insecure, she told herself. She was great. She'd just been with women infrequently enough that she was kind of scattered.

"It's colder out than I thought it would be," she blurted. Small talk.

Penelope mostly liked London. And even though, honestly, she was terribly lonely, she'd still taken to exploring on her own. An independent single lady in the big city.

Today was her day off and she decided to go to a butterfly garden. It was a wonderful decision. It was beautiful.

And at some point she just sat on a bench and watched, until one beautiful butterfly lit on a flower in her hair.
